Associate Solicitor
Michael Mulcare is an Associate Solicitor for Mayo Wynne Baxter and has been with the firm since 2007 as a member of the Litigation Team. Michael currently specialises in defendant litigation and is acting on behalf of local authorities, insurers and private cases.
Before joining the firm, Michael was at a national law firm, reknown for their insurance expertise, where he established and managed an in-house legal team for one of their insurer clients.
Prior to that, he was at the Treasury Solicitor's Department and worked for the Ministry of Defence, handling a varied caseload of public and private law matters and advised on Central Government issues involving other agencies and Departments. During this time, he defended a wide range of high value personal injury and clinical negligence claims against the Ministry of Defence, with the highest settlement being over £5 million. He was involved in a substantial amount of high profile inquest work, judicial review proceedings, class actions and claims involving foreign jurisdictions. In addition to this, Michael represented and advised the Defence Diving School in respect of diving related incidents.
He has an extensive background in personal injury work, including acting for claimants in relation to, RTA, marine and aviation claims.
Michael is a member of FOIL.
