Nicole Humphreys

Nicole qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and is a partner in the employment team. She joined Mayo Wynne Baxter in June 2025, after many years at a business-focused law firm as head of the employment department.

With extensive experience advising both employees and employers, Nicole enjoys the diversity of employment law and the unique challenges each case presents. She enjoys that her work is shaped by people, business, and the law, and it is this fast-paced and dynamic environment that keeps her engaged and passionate about her practice.

She thrives on helping people and takes real pride in guiding businesses and individuals through difficult or sensitive situations. Nicole values the relationships she builds with her clients and enjoys working closely with them to offer clear, pragmatic advice on even the most complex employment issues.

Nicole is known for being approachable, a quality that is essential when dealing with sensitive, people related matters. She is a thoughtful and attentive listener who brings empathy and inspires trust while remaining professional and objective. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys exploring the countryside, often using her well-loved “Pub Strolls of East and West Sussex” books, usually with a stop at a local pub at the end. She also enjoys cycling (preferably on flat terrain!), cooking for family and friends, and dancing.
