Katie White

Katie advises on matters ranging from compromise agreements, redundancies, contract disputes, intellectual property, grievance and disciplinary procedures, contracts of employment, dismissals, and professional negligence matters.

After obtaining her first degree and spending the best part of two years in Canada, Katie returned to England and commenced her legal studies, completing these with the Legal Practice Course in which she obtained distinction grades in all examinations. A year after qualifying as a solicitor, Katie joined Mayo Wynne Baxter in 2011.

At work, Katie always seeks to find practical solutions to problems for clients, and gives informed, tailored advice. The experience she has gained from a variety of business sectors to date has also given her an empathic drive for supporting clients through often difficult times.

Katie is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. Outside of work she is a winter sports enthusiast and a keen runner, and completed the inaugural Brighton Marathon in 2010 to raise funds for a local hospice. She is also actively involved with various local and national charities both fundraising and volunteering in her spare time, and really enjoys the feeling of giving something back to the community.
