Emily joined Mayo Wynne Baxter in 2025 and is a Paralegal in the Private Client Department. She works closely with clients and their families, assisting with the administration of estates, wills and lasting powers of attorney.

Before pursuing a legal career, Emily worked in hospitality for several years in customer-facing roles. This background helped her develop strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building relationships with clients.

Emily graduated from Cardiff University in 2025 with a First Class LLB (Hons) Law degree and completed a professional placement year as part of her studies. Prior to joining Mayo Wynne Baxter, she gained experience working as a paralegal in nursing care fee recovery and undertaking pro bono work in this area, supporting individuals through complex and often emotional circumstances. It was here that she developed a strong understanding of the importance of delivering a positive client experience. She is committed to providing an approachable and professional service, ensuring clients feel informed and supported during what can often be a difficult time.

Emily has realised that private client is an area of law in which she is keen to develop her career. She values the trust that clients place in the team and enjoys helping individuals and families plan for the future or administer the legacy of a loved one.

Meg is part of the Residential Property department with over two years experience as a Paralegal. She joined the firm in December 2025.

Meg provides assistance to clients throughout residential conveyancing transactions from the very start through to post completion. She understands the importance of good communication with clients to help them feel supported through the process, whilst tailoring her advice to the needs of each client.

Meg is a qualified Paralegal and is currently studying through the SQE route to become a qualified Solicitor.

In her spare time, Meg enjoys seeing friends, playing guitar and looking after her tortoise, rabbit and lizard!

Cheryl is a Paralegal in the Residential Property Department with 15 years experience in a variety of transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers and first registrations.

Cheryl is friendly and approachable and aims to make sure the whole process feels as smooth and as stress-free as possible.

Cheryl recognises property matters can sometimes feel overwhelming and so prides herself on clear, straightforward communication and is always happy to answer questions (no matter how small) so clients feel supported and kept in the loop throughout the transaction. Cheryl is organised, reliable and always aims to provide a personable and down to earth service.

Rosie is a Private Client Paralegal with a strong background in customer service gained across a range of industries. She specialises in assisting with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and Estate Administration.

Rosie graduated from the University of Sussex with a First-Class Law degree in 2024 and joined Mayo Wynne Baxter shortly afterwards as a Paralegal in the Private Client team. Rosie primarily works from the firm’s Storrington and Lewes offices, supporting clients across a wide range of Private Client matters.

She primarily assists clients with the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and Estate Administration matters, helping to ensure a smooth and efficient process from start to finish. Rosie takes pride in delivering a high standard of client care, helping individuals and families navigate important legal matters with confidence and peace of mind. She is committed to providing clear, compassionate support throughout the process, ensuring clients feel informed and reassured every step of the way.

Georgina is a graduate of both Oxford University and the Scottish Hotel School at Strathclyde University. She gained extensive professional experience in the international hotel and leisure industry and in retail asset management before choosing to pursue a career in law. Georgina joined the MWB in 2020 and transferred to the property department as a conveyancing paralegal in 2023 assisting in all aspects of residential conveyancing.

Georgina is highly client focused and aims to assist and ease the client through what can sometimes be quite an intense and stressful period. On a day-to-day basis Georgina is liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers and opposing solicitors to ensure the smooth progression of the transaction.

Based in the Storrington office where her work largely covers the southern parts of West Sussex, Georgina provides support for the busy residential team in buying and selling freehold and residential homes, transfer of equity and redemption of Help to Buy mortgages. Georgina works across the whole of the transaction from first client contact and matter opening through to exchange, completion and registration.

Georgina brings a high degree of professionalism, reliability and problem solving to her work and is always available for clients.

Having come to law later in her career she is currently studying part-time for her CILEX CPQ foundation while working, with a view to becoming a Chartered Legal Executive in the future.

Stuart Alabaster began studying law as a part-time student at Oxford Brookes University before moving to Scotland. In Scotland, he studied law full time at the University of Dundee, graduating in 2005 with a qualifying degree in both English and Scottish Law. He then returned to the University of Dundee where he studied for his Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, which he was awarded in 2006.

He qualified in Scotland in 2008 and has been working at Mayo Wynne Baxter since 2017.
Stuart’s experience is in Private Client work, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate.

He likes to meet with clients to discuss and understand their circumstances and needs so that he can advise them on the different ways in which they might achieve their desired outcomes. No two client meetings are ever the same.

It is always a privilege for him to meet with a client, to discuss their personal affairs and understand their circumstances. It is always nice to hear back from a client that the process was not as daunting or as stressful as they had anticipated.

He is a good listener and will take the time to understand both a client’s circumstances and their desired outcome. He will explain things as simply as he can so that they can be easily understood and advise a client on how they might best achieve the outcome they would want.

Outside of work, he enjoys walking and can often be found on the Sussex Downs, or the hills and mountains of North Wales. He also enjoys listening to music and discovering new music from around the world.

Ursula is a Senior Associate Private Client Executive at Mayo Wynne Baxter with 20 years experience in private client matters. She joined the firm in 2021 and is part of the general private client team dealing predominantly with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate administration, estate planning and tax advice.

Ursula grew up and studied law in Zurich, Switzerland where she qualified with a lic iur degree. She moved to London in 1988 and has since worked in London and Sussex law firms, eventually specialising in all areas of private client law and gaining full STEP membership in 2006.

Ursula has built up a client base throughout Sussex with regular repeat business, positive feedback and personal recommendations, whilst her colleagues value her technical knowledge and insight.

In 2023 Ursula joined the STEP Sussex Committee, having previously acted as a Trustee of the British Society for Research on Ageing and as a Trustee of Age UK Brighton & Hove.

Rebecca is a Partner in our Private Client team, qualifying at a Brighton firm in 2005, she now has over 20 years of experience across a broad range of Private client work. Rebecca specialises in Estate planning and Rural clients as well as undertaking probate work and the preparation of Wills and LPAs.

As a Sussex native with a deep-rooted understanding of the South Downs and its local economy, Rebecca brings a unique perspective to her work with clients. Her extensive knowledge, combined with her professional experience, makes her an invaluable asset to our clients. She offers tailored solutions that address the specific needs and goals of her clients.

Rebecca’s qualifications and experience in private client work, including Wills, Probate, LPAs, succession planning, and Declarations of Trust, position her well to address the specific needs of rural clients.

After a BSC degree in Law and Business Studies Rebecca completed her LPC and then undertook her Training contract at a Brighton firm, qualifying in 2005. She then immediately started her Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) qualification and is still an active member of STEP. Rebecca has also been a longterm member of the Association of Later Life Lawyers (ALL, formerly known as Solicitors for the Elderly). She has also previously completed the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitors (ACTAPs) training.

By combining her local knowledge, professional experience, and strong network, Rebecca is well-equipped to provide exceptional legal services to rural clients in the Western region of MWB. Clients enjoy her personable approach and often refer her to their family members, so Rebecca acts for multi-generations even outside of the Sussex area.

Outside of work Rebecca is a volunteer with Home Start, providing regular support to local parents with regard to their under-5 aged children.

Megan is a Paralegal in the Private Client department, having worked for the firm for many years she has a wide base of knowledge of all the various departments.

Juliet is a Partner in the residential property team and is based in the Storrington and Chichester offices. She has over 22 years of experience in dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing.

Juliet has great local knowledge, having practiced in various locations in and around West Sussex since 2004. She joined Mayo Wynne Baxter in 2014 and became a Partner in 2017.

Juliet has a through understanding of conveyancing law and practice and specialises in buying, selling and transferring ownership of a wide variety of properties and land. She acts for everyone from first time buyers to high net worth individuals, landowners, investors and companies. She enjoys complex conveyancing and problem solving.
