Clare Smith

Clare is a CIPD-qualified people professional with many years of experience managing the people function within MWB

Clare joined MWB in 2001 and has been HR Director since 2008. As an experienced people professional, Clare understands the importance of a work environment where everyone feels supported to reach their full potential.

After completing a post-graduate degree in personnel management whilst working in invoice finance/banking, Clare became a member of the The Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and has been working in HR for almost 30 years.

Clare works with our specialist teams on all areas of the people journey, including talent attraction, onboarding, training, career progression and reward, as well as improvement projects and day to day support to managers and colleagues across all our teams. Clare feels strongly about making sure we all have a positive impact on the people around us by giving great service and support to our colleagues and clients.

In her spare time, Clare enjoys time with family and friends, a good walk especially with a view, the odd beach clean, and a good Netflix series or book.
