Cameron McCoig

Cameron is part of the firm’s commercial dispute resolution team, with a particular focus on contractual disputes, debt recovery, insolvency and disputes concerning company shareholders and directors.

Cameron helps clients resolve commercial disputes efficiently and with a sharp focus on their wider business objectives. Working within the commercial dispute resolution team, he advises on contractual claims, debt recovery actions, insolvency related disputes, and conflicts between company shareholders and directors. Cameron combines strategic insight with clear communication to help clients make informed decisions at every stage of the dispute resolution process. He is committed to delivering outcomes that align not only with the legal position but also with the commercial realities that clients face.

Cameron completed his undergraduate Law degree at the University of Surrey in 2017 before later completing his Legal Practice Course at the University of Law (Guildford campus). His academic background laid strong foundations for his analytical approach and interest in commercial litigation.

Cameron began his legal career as a paralegal in a busy local authority legal team, where he gained experience of criminal law, regulatory matters and contract work. He subsequently moved into private practice in 2021, where he continued his training before qualifying as a solicitor in April 2024. Cameron joined Mayo Wynne Baxter’s commercial litigation team in June 2025.

Cameron is based in the firm’s Brighton office but is able to assist clients across all of the firm’s offices throughout Sussex.
