Fiona Dodd is a Partner in the Probate, Trusts and Wills Department who has been with Mayo Wynne Baxter since 2003.
As a specialist in inheritance and probate law Fiona administers complex estates, drafts Wills, and powers of attorney and manages finances for clients unable to do so themselves.
Since 2008 Fiona has developed a particular specialism in working with people with dementia and other conditions that limit their capacity to make decisions. Through applications to the Court of Protection, Fiona supports those who did not appoint an attorney when they were still able to manage their own affairs. She also helps people who may now need a solicitor to write a Statutory Will on their behalf.
Whether a loved one has died, or because of complicated personal circumstances, Fiona is passionate about supporting clients through what can be a distressing time.
Fiona graduated in English Law and French Law from Kings College, London, and La Sorbonne, Paris. Between 1996 and 2000 she completed her solicitor’s training and started practicing with a small high street firm on the outskirts of Brighton. She moved into investment management in London for two and a half years, before returning to Sussex in 2003 to join Mayo Wynne Baxter. Fiona is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP).
Outside of work, Fiona spends time with her family and even tries to cram in a good book when she has the time!
May I take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for a friendly and efficient administration of my mother's estate.
