Richard qualified in 2006 and specialises in all areas of family law, including the financial arrangements on divorce and separation, disputes relating to children and parentage, as well as family issues affecting LGBT clients.
Richard is committed to obtaining practical and fair solutions upon separation, and is experienced in both negotiating financial settlements and taking matters to court where the issues are more complex or in dispute.
Before joining the firm, Richard was the head of a family department in a West Sussex law firm, having previously worked for almost a decade in central London law firms,
He is a member of Resolution, the national association of family lawyers committed to a non-confrontational approach to divorce and separation. He is accredited by Resolution in Complex Financial and Property matters for cases involving high income households and substantial assets, as well as for medium to low income households. He also sits on the national Resolution Cohabitation and Equalities Committee which seeks to reform the law for unmarried couples in England and Wales.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys the theatre, live music and walking in the South Downs and further afield.
