I am an Associate Solicitor and have been practising for many years now, having qualified in 1976.
In the past I have specialised in Conveyancing and Private Client work, but now I am focused on Probate Trust & Wills, with an emphasis on Estates with inheritance tax complications.
I am very well versed in dealing with the compliance unit at the Inheritance Tax Office. And, in dealing with the many and varied problems concerning trusts, especially the changing views of revenue in connection with trusts.
I’m a Law Society Prize Winner (John Mackrell Prize) and winner of the Charles Steele City of London Solicitors Company prize, for the best-articled clerk in the City of London.
What do you most enjoy about your role?
Helping Clients, I love to make my knowledge available to clients who are experiencing problems. To enable them to resolve any issues they have, often during a very difficult time.
What would your colleagues say about you?
That I’m the go-to person for any issues they are stuck on. Due to my many years of experience, I have dealt with everything. My knowledge base is vast, and my colleagues know that they can, and do, come to me for help with anything.
Outside of Work
When I’m not working, I am a keen singer, walker and cyclist and can often be found up on the South Downs.
