Joanna is an Associate Solicitor within the Commercial Property Department and is experienced in dealing with a wide range of commercial matters for landlords, tenants, companies, and private individuals, including: -
- Leases, subleases, and licences of commercial property
- Commercial, high value residential and agricultural sales and purchases (freehold and leasehold)
- Commercial finance
- Option agreements and overage.
Joanna has a particular interest in and enthusiasm for complex Transfers of Part (the legal mechanism for selling off part of your land, for example, part of your garden for development or a plot on an estate), especially when the transaction includes extensive reserved and granted rights such as for access, boundaries, and services, and which involve existing planning permission and associated documentation.
Joanna trained in a local Lewes firm, where she qualified in 2014, before joining Mayo Wynne Baxter the same year. Prior to qualification, Joanna worked as a residential conveyancer for several years.
Outside of work Joanna has two young children, enjoys running and is a keen baker.
Your team were great and I'd particularly like to thank Joanna who handled some difficult issues really well - clear advice and very proactive in getting the deal done in a short time frame.
Lisa getting the deal exchanged on 24th December while on holiday with intermittent phone signal at her stables was a particular high point.
