Telecom Aerial Sites

Owners of mobile phone mast sites are strongly recommended to seek expert professional advice if approached by the operators asking for consent to assign their Lease. Like most businesses these operators are seeking to cut costs and one way is to achieve a “site share” without paying any increased rent. T-Mobile and 3G have successfully done this on many sites where the legal grounds for doing so may be tenuous. Each situation will be different and will depend on the wording of the original Agreement. These operators will pay the owners’ reasonable professional fees in looking into this so the advice must be to get help before you sign anything.
