Trusted Intervention Agents
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is the Regulator for all solicitors in England and Wales. Mayo Wynne Baxter are one of only 25 firms nationwide who act for the SRA in interventions into firms of solicitors. Our Partner Peter Bristow is the named Intervention Agent.
As part of its regulatory framework the SRA has the power granted by Act of Parliament to intervene into a firm of solicitors. This is one of the most sweeping powers it possesses, as it involves the immediate closure of the intervened firm.
