Linda Saunders is Head of Planning for the firm and has been with Mayo Wynne Baxter since 2008. Linda provides in depth planning consultancy and specialist legal advice on a range of contentious and non-contentious planning matters involving small to medium sized developers.
Linda appreciates the commercial realities of the Leisure sector, including mixed use developments which incorporate leisure and retail. She has been involved in the planning arrangements for the 2012 Olympics, and has recent experience in the West End including planning legal advice for hotels and leisure facilities, including pubs, restaurants and food outlets in central London and along the south coast.
Her range of clients include national leisure and sport operators, including spas and casinos, equestrian and wedding venues.
Before joining the firm Linda worked in the West End, after which she qualified in Constitutional Law. She has lived and worked in Sussex for over 16 years and is a member of Sussex Enterprise. She also advises Lewes traders and Sussex Downs College on related matters.
At work Linda has a particular interest in advocacy and representing clients at appeal. She is also a volunteer for Planning Aid, an organisation which engages communities positively in the planning process to help them manage changes to their neighbourhood areas.
