Andy McKay is a Trainee Solicitor currently working in the Personal Injury Department and has been with Mayo Wynne Baxter since March 2010.
Andy supports the team with its varied case load of personal injury and contract disputes, including; liaising with clients, the court and Counsel; preparing documentation, drafting letters and carrying out research on legislation and case law.
Before joining the firm Andy travelled extensively around Australia, South East Asia and India, as well as living and working in France and Belgium for 18 months. He moved to Brighton in 1995 and soon began studying International Relations and German at the University of Sussex, graduating in 1999. Andy worked as a volunteer adviser at the Brighton Citizens Advice Bureau before attaining the CPE at the University of Brighton in 2007. He then studied for his LPC at the University of West England and passed in 2009.
At work Andy has a particular interest in the areas of law that involves a high degree of client contact and intends to gain experience on contentious probate and judicial review cases.
Outside of work Andy enjoys spending time with his family, going to the cinema and long walks across the Sussex countryside.
