The Employment Team at Mayo Wynne Baxter has presented its first breakfast seminar of 2010 in association with Hays Human Resources .
The issue of equal pay was under discussion this time. Presenter Martin Williams, Head of Employment at Mayo Wynne Baxter, scrutinised the provisions of the Equal Pay Act 1970 and examined the extensive case law that surrounds this legislation. The seminar also looked ahead by addressing the impact that the Equality Bill will have on equal pay when it becomes law later this year.
This series of free breakfast seminars covers a variety of employment law topics which are selected by the participants. This means that each seminar looks at what is most relevant to businesses and organisations, both in the private and public sector. The interactive format allows for experiences to be shared amongst senior managers and HR professionals.
The next seminar will take place on 9 February January 2010 and will look at the subject of performance management.
Places at the seminars are limited but should you wish to attend or find out more about the services that Hays can offer please contact Alexandra Welsh, Senior Consultant for Hays Human Resources at alex.welsh@hays.com
