National medical accident authority endorses Mayo Wynne Baxter's leading specialist

Melanie Minter, a leading local solicitor specialising in clinical negligence, has been reappointed as a recommended legal expert by Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA), a charity which provides advice and support to people affected by medical accidents.

Melanie, head of Mayo Wynne Baxter’s Clinical Negligence Department, is one of just 15 experts in the south east and the only one in East Sussex to be endorsed by the independent organisation.

Chris Randall Managing Partner of Mayo Wynne Baxter said: “AvMA is a long established organisation and a leading authority on clinical negligence so to be included in their exclusive list of experts is a significant achievement and a tribute to Melanie’s expertise.”

The Clinical Negligence team at Mayo Wynne Baxter has extensive experience in this highly specialised area. Their cases range from assisting victims of severe brain injuries to patients who have suffered an injury during an operation.

Melanie commented: “We recognise that the majority of healthcare professionals want the best for their patients and do a great job, sometimes under difficult circumstances. Unfortunately things do occasionally go wrong, so when they do we’re here to help the patient and their families find out what happened and why, and help them get their life back on track.”
