Mayo Wynne Baxter is an ambitious, quality driven and friendly firm which regards trainees as valued assets to our business. Our aim is to develop trainees to become exceptional solicitors to enable them to excel in their legal career. We are currently looking to recruit 2 trainee solicitors to join our team in September 2011.
Training seats
As a trainee you could be placed in any of our offices in Brighton, Eastbourne, Lewes, Seaford and Hailsham to gain experience in as many parts of the business as possible and to develop your knowledge and expertise in a variety of environments.
As part of the training contract you will provide effective support to the Partners and other legal advisors across the firm. You will also be required to participate in a variety of business initiatives, networking and building relationships by providing exceptional service to our clients.
Ideal candidates
Our ideal candidates will have excellent client care abilities along with a high standard of communication skills which have been gained through relevant legal work experience. You will have a 2:1, or higher, degree and have passed your LPC on commencement of your training contract. You will also be computer literate, flexible and be driven to succeed.

Work experience
Unfortunately we are unable to offer any work experience or summer placements at this time due to the large number of applications we have received. Each year, we are able to offer a small number of work experience placements with preference being given to those applicants who may be seeking a training contract with us in the future. If anything suitable arises we will update this website.
Industrial placements
Mayo Wynne Baxter is pleased to support Ringmer Community College with its industrial placement scheme. Unfortunately, however, we are unable to offer any other industrial placements.
