There are only 6 other accredited specialists inBrighton and Gemma is the youngest solicitor in the region to be accredited.
Resolution is a national association of over 5500 family lawyers committed to resolving family disputes in non confrontational way, they have to abide by a strict Code of Conduct, membership is an indication of a commitment to good quality practice and cost efficient legal services.
The accreditation scheme is the first of its kind and recognised as the most stringent test of expertise in family law practice. The scheme has won the respect not only of those in the legal profession but of those outside it – in government and in other professional fields associated with family law.
In order to attain specialist accreditation you have to be a Resolution member, have been qualified for at least 5 years as a solicitor or legal executive and have had a minimum of 550 hours of practice in family law. The assessment process involves undertaking a core assignment testing knowledge on broad principles of family law and submitting a portfolio of work and answers to numerous case studies to test knowledge and experience from chosen specialist areas of family law.
